Farm Growing Power from the Knave Specter, summoned at a Silver Grove shrine using a Nightfall Apothic. The inspected official PC drop table lists Growing Power at 6.06% in that Specter's Mod pool. The Aura provides conditional Ability Strength after a weapon inflicts a status effect, so plan how to trigger it before the relevant cast.

A crucial update for returning players: plants are now collected with a hold interaction. Update 39 removed the requirement to scan plants for extracts. An older farming video can still show the right plants while giving obsolete collection instructions.

01

Understand the source of the Mod

The Silver Grove shrine reference maps each Apothic to a different Specter. Nightfall summons Knave, the one whose reward pool includes Growing Power. Twilight and Sunrise summon different guardians and should not be substituted when this specific Aura is your target.

The official PC drop table, fetched on October 13, lists a 100% Mod drop chance for Knave Specter and Growing Power as 6.06% of that pool. Other listed outcomes include Pistol Amp, Blind Justice and Crimson Dervish.

A 6.06% chance is not a guarantee after a certain number of attempts. You can receive other Mods repeatedly. The table supports the reward identity and published probability; it does not establish a fixed farming time or a promise that any particular session yields Growing Power.

02

Unlock the quest and obtain the recipe

The Silver Grove is the quest associated with this farming system. The original official update directs players to Amaryn, the New Loka leader in a Relay, and names The Second Dream as a prerequisite. Check your current Codex for the complete requirements shown for your account.

Progress the quest to obtain the Apothic recipes and learn the shrine interaction. Avoid copying a late-game repeat-farming route before you have the necessary recipe and access. The quest introduces the relationship between collecting ingredients, crafting an Apothic and using it at the Grove.

After the relevant blueprint is available, inspect the Nightfall recipe in the Foundry. Confirm its exact ingredients, your available quantities and the number of Apothics you intend to make. This guide does not invent a shortened recipe or assume that owning one ingredient means the entire consumable is ready.

03

Gather plants with the current interaction

Approach the required plants and use the displayed Hold to Collect action. Digital Extremes explicitly applied this change to The Silver Grove quest and changed its objective wording from scanning to gathering in Update 39.

Follow the plant names listed in your recipe. Nightfall's plant requirements include Dusklight Sarracenia, Moonlight Dragonlily and Sunlight Threshcone. The Earth day-and-night distinction in the latter names matters when looking for the appropriate plant; follow the relevant forest conditions rather than assuming an unrelated open-world clock supplies the same answer.

Make a shopping list before leaving the Orbiter. Gather the missing ingredients, return to the Foundry and verify that the intended Nightfall Apothic can be built. If an older guide tells you that a scanner upgrade is mandatory to collect these plants, that instruction predates the gathering change.

04

Prepare the consumable before looking for the shrine

Craft the Nightfall Apothic and check your Gear setup before entering the mission. A blueprint in the Foundry is not the same as a completed consumable ready for the shrine. Confirm the item name, especially if you have several Apothic types from the quest.

The shrine reference describes using an Apothic at the Grove to summon the associated guardian. For a repeat run, choose an appropriate Earth forest mission and search for the Grove while keeping the mission's normal objective under control.

If playing with a group, agree on the target before launch. Tell teammates that you are looking for a Silver Grove shrine and which Specter you intend to summon. This avoids one player rushing to extraction while another searches for the side area.

05

Summon Knave and collect the result

At the shrine, use the Nightfall Apothic to summon Knave Specter. Defeat it, inspect the reward and collect the drop before moving on. Then complete the mission and extract normally so your farming attempt has a clear endpoint.

Bring a dependable combat setup rather than assuming the Specter will fall instantly to whatever equipment you are leveling. The cost of an attempt includes the ingredients and time spent preparing it, so avoiding an unnecessary failure is worthwhile.

Do not assume every squad or loot ability creates a specific number of extra rolls. This page has not tested current interactions between the Specter, additional-loot effects and multiple Apothic uses. The published base reward pool is the supported starting point.

06

Activate Growing Power deliberately

Growing Power is an Aura with a weapon-status trigger. Use a weapon that can apply status effects, confirm that the buff is active, then cast the ability that you want to benefit. The Wiki reference describes the Ability Strength interaction; it should not be treated as an unconditional permanent increase.

A normal damaging hit and a status effect are different events. If the buff does not appear, check the weapon's status behavior and whether the target can receive the relevant effect. Repeatedly pressing an ability without supplying the trigger will not reproduce a build that assumes the Aura is active.

For a comfortable setup, integrate the trigger into actions you already perform. If activating it distracts from survival or the objective, another Aura may be more practical for that loadout. A larger conditional number has little value when the condition is rarely met.

07

Decide whether to farm it now

Growing Power is useful when additional Ability Strength meaningfully helps your chosen ability and you can activate the buff consistently. It is less urgent when the actual problem is insufficient energy, poor weapon damage or a build that does not fit its capacity.

The official Mods Guide explains Aura capacity and polarity. Check both the effect and the fitting consequences when replacing your existing Aura; do not evaluate only the Strength bonus.

Set a preparation budget before farming. If gathering another batch of plants is interrupting more important progression, return to the builds guide and complete a workable setup first. The October 13 source check established the farming chain, the plant-collection update and the published drop pool. It did not benchmark farming speed, verify a current trade price or test every ability's buff behavior.
