For a practical Neural Sensors farm, start on Jupiter. Choose Alad V at Themisto when you want repeated, bounded boss runs, or Cameria when you prefer sustained resource collection. Both appear in the Wiki's farming recommendations. Your best choice depends on which mission you can complete efficiently with your current loadout.
The Wiki resource directory lists Neural Sensors in Jupiter's resource pool and names those farming options. This page was checked against available source material on October 13, 2026. The recommendations are not a timed comparison, and no guaranteed Sensors-per-run figure is claimed.
01
Check the exact material name first
Neural Sensors and Neurodes are different resources. Search your Foundry recipe for the complete name before selecting a mission. A guide that sends you to a Neurodes location will not solve a Neural Sensors requirement simply because the names sound similar.
Count the missing amount and check whether the blueprint can be built as soon as you return. If you also need an inaccessible material, finish the necessary progression first or choose a recipe closer to completion. A useful farming session starts with a clear destination for its rewards.
If you are building several components, add up their requirements rather than assuming the number on one component represents the entire project. Keep this list short enough that you can stop when the current goal is complete. You can return for a larger stockpile when the route becomes more comfortable.
02
Choose between a short boss loop and a longer run
| Route | Practical reason to choose it | Cost to watch |
|---|---|---|
| Themisto, Jupiter | A clear boss objective and frequent extraction points | Travel and boss-fight time between attempts |
| Cameria, Jupiter | Sustained resource collection without restarting each short attempt | Whether you can maintain comfortable kills and survival |
| Another Jupiter mission | You also need to complete that node or quest step | Less focused farming, but useful combined progress |
The Wiki's suggested farming locations are explicitly based on community experience. They are useful starting candidates, not a universal ordering established by Digital Extremes.
Use the short route when you need a small top-up or only have time for a few attempts. Use sustained play when you also want other resources from the location and enjoy the mission. The best route for an experienced squad can be inconvenient for someone who has only just reached Jupiter.
03
Run Themisto with a complete loop in mind
Your objective is to defeat the boss, gather the relevant drops and extract successfully. Bring a weapon that handles the fight comfortably, not just a configuration that clears ordinary corridor enemies well. Learn the encounter's visible phases instead of spending ammunition whenever damage is not landing.
Keep the route to the objective purposeful. Check containers you naturally pass, but decide in advance whether you are doing a focused boss loop or a broader map search. Repeatedly changing between those approaches makes it difficult to judge where your time is going.
After completing the mission, check the resource total. A successful boss kill does not promise a specific quantity of Neural Sensors. If the required amount is still missing, repeat only while the route feels productive and enjoyable. One empty attempt is not proof that the node is invalid.
04
Use Cameria for a steady collection session
Cameria appears in the Wiki's recommendations for Neural Sensors and other Jupiter resources. Choose it when you prefer spending more of the session fighting and collecting rather than loading into another short run.
Start with equipment that is already dependable at that difficulty. Maintain the mission objective and collect pickups around your fighting area. If enemies become difficult enough that kills stall or survival becomes stressful, extract rather than treating a longer stay as mandatory.
When playing in a group, keep the basic plan clear. A shared farming area makes it easier to collect nearby drops and support one another. However, react to the mission state instead of insisting on staying in a poor location. Resource farming still requires completing the actual mission.
05
Search deposits without turning every marker into a detour
The resource directory identifies Neural Arrays as rare resource deposits. Their value is that the object is associated with a specific resource, unlike a generic container marker whose contents are unknown.
Check nearby rooms and break visible resource containers during your route. If you have loot detection or pickup assistance available, use it to reduce missed opportunities. Those tools help you notice and collect objects; they do not make every marked container contain the target material.
A sensible search ends when the detour stops serving the run. Spending several minutes trying to reach an awkward ordinary marker may be less useful than finishing and starting the next attempt. Focus on reachable objects along a deliberate path, then reassess after extraction.
06
Combine farming with current progression rewards
Before starting a long farm, inspect your current Junction tasks. The Update 39 notes added a Saturn Junction scanning task with a Neural Sensors reward. A player who still has that task available may be able to combine learning the scanning system with filling an early material shortage.
That is a one-time progression opportunity, not a repeatable farm. Check the current task panel and whether your account has already claimed it. Do not count an old reward twice when planning a recipe.
The same notes explain that defeating Alad V at Themisto was removed as a separate listed Junction task because reaching the Junction already required completing the node. This is another reason to read current requirements instead of treating an old checklist as permanent.
07
Decide whether a farming ability helps your route
Nekros's Desecrate creates additional loot from fallen enemies. It is an optional tool for an enemy-drop collection session. This guide does not claim that it duplicates every boss reward or changes each mission-completion reward table.
If you spend most of a short run traveling, a setup that makes travel and the fight comfortable may matter more than a specialist farming identity. If you spend the session defeating ordinary enemies in one area, an eligible additional-loot effect has a clearer role.
Choose the build after choosing the route. Our builds guide explains how to adjust survival, energy and weapon performance without assuming a full collection of rare upgrades.
08
Know when to stop or switch
Once you have the required Sensors, return to the Foundry and finish the crafting step. If you are collecting a reserve, define a target before the session so you do not continue indefinitely out of habit.
If a route feels poor, compare the full attempt: travel, combat, collection and extraction. Changing the weapon or shortening searches may solve the issue without changing planets. The Wiki also lists Neural Sensors in the Kuva Fortress resource pool, but later access alone does not make it a better first recommendation.
For other crafting bottlenecks, use the separate Argon Crystal and Tellurium routes. Keeping the material names and sources distinct prevents a long session in the wrong place.
